It all started back in 1987 when Lattimore M. Michael began serving one-of-a-kind, homemade hamburgers in his Cleveland, Mississippi grocery store. Before he knew it, people were driving from miles around to enjoy his tasty grilled creations. So Lattimore opened his very own Back Yard Burgers restaurant. A year later, the first franchised Back Yard Burgers also fired up its grill and the rest, as they say, is history.
Today, Back Yard Burgers is known as the place to go for big and bold backyard taste. Our burgers and chicken are made to order, topped with only the freshest, most flavorful ingredients and served straight from the grill — just like they were more than twenty years ago.
